Extending your stay at The Sagamore? You will only be able to book your stay for the conference dates (July 8 -11) on the resort’s website. If you plan to arrive early or extend your stay, please call or email Front Office Manager, Ms. Kelly Frasier (518-743-6026 or kfrasier@thesagamore.com). Please note….The Sagamore has agreed to honor the conference room rates for Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12. For dates in advance of the conference or after 7/12, plan to pay rack rates as this is the hotel’s busy season.

Regarding the Lodge Rooms…there are two levels available in the Lodges. Lower Level (LL) or Walk-In (WI). To reach the LL rooms you must use stairs. No elevator is available. If you or a guest have mobility concerns and would like to stay in the attractively-priced Lodge rooms, please be sure to reserve a Walk-In room, which is street level.

Golf Outing – Afternoon of Tuesday, July 10

Join your colleagues for a round of golf at The Sagamore. With stunning views of Lake George, this Donald Ross Championship Course is as challenging as it is beautiful.

Tee times begin at 1 p.m. A hotel shuttle will transport golfers to the course. A box lunch will be provided to golfers at the conclusion of our morning agenda.

Foursomes will be determined in advance of arrival at The Sagamore and posted at registration. Make your golf reservations no later than Friday, June 29 here.

Fort Ticonderoga Tour – Afternoon of Monday, July 9

Relive defining moments in America’s history when nations fought to control a continent with a visit to Fort Ticonderoga. Located within the shadow of the Adirondack Mountains and overlooking Vermont’s picturesque Green Mountains, Fort Ticonderoga guards the historic portage between Lake Champlain and Lake George.

Get an insider tour from John Holub of New Jersey Retail Merchants Association. John is a native of the area and worked at the Fort for years as a tour guide!

The $40 fee ($32 for children under 12) covers transportation and admission to the Fort. Make your tour reservations no later than Friday, June 29 here.

Fishing Charter

Lake George offers great Lake Trout, Bass and Salmon fishing. Your host, the Retail Council of New York State, will make arrangements for a four-hour charter for up to 5 anglers per boat. Charter cost is $400 per boat, divided among participants, plus a fishing license fee per angler ($5 for NYS residents/$15 for non-residents in 2012). Guests arriving by air should fly into Albany International Airport. Allow 1.25 hours of easy travel between the airport and The Sagamore.
