The Retail Council of New York State is a full-service trade association representing nearly 5,000 members ranging in size from sole proprietor to national chain. The Retail Council of New York State welcomed NY Congressman Chris Gibson (19th CD) to its office in Albany to discuss the retail industry’s legislative priorities. Congressman Gibson is a co-sponsor of the federal Marketplace Fairness Act to require Internet merchants and other remote sellers to charge and collect sales taxes on in-state consumer transactions.
